Gynaecology and obstetrics nursing is a subspecialty of nursing that focuses on providing complete care to women during their pregnancy, delivery, and postpartum period. These nurses perform an important role in encouraging and sustaining both the mother's and the baby's health and well-being. They provide women with information on reproductive health, contraception, and sexually transmitted illnesses. Obstetricians offer prenatal care, monitor fetal growth, and give women support throughout labour and delivery.
