Cardiovascular nursing is a specialist field of nursing that allows nurses to treat patients with heart disease and a range of cardiovascular issues. Coronary artery treatment room (CCU), cardiac catheter examination room, intensive care unit (ICU), operating room, cardiac rehabilitation centre, postoperative cardiac ward, clinical research, cardiac operating room, cardiovascular intensive care unit (CVICU), and cardiac medicine unit are just a few of the facilities that have cardiac nurses on staff. Associate nurses who are also registered nurses should be able to certify in basic life support and advanced CPR.
