Psychiatric-Mental Health Nursing

Psychiatric nurses provide treatment for patients who have a mental illness, dysfunction, or sickness. Not all patients, though, receive care from nurses who are struggling with a mental condition. They could be experiencing stress or emotional difficulties in their home, an assisted living facility, or a hospital. Although being a mental health nurse can be incredibly rewarding, it can also be challenging and conscience. Mental health nurse’s duties sometimes overlap with those of a psychiatrist and include diagnosis, treatment, and pharmaceutical prescription.
